Release Blitz & Review ~ Hollywood Playboy by Natasha Madison

An entertainment journalist was the last thing I thought I would be doing.

I thought once I got my degree, I would be reporting on stories that made a difference, but now all I do is report on who broke up with who and who is dating who.

I was over it.

Then I got my next assignment.

He’s Hollywood’s bad boy.

He works hard, and he plays even harder.

He’s rude, he’s condescending, and he’s made it known he doesn’t want me on the tour.

With one month on the road with him, two things might happen

One, I may never work in this industry again.

Two, I may just be like everyone else and fall for Hollywood’s Playboy.

When her nose isn’t buried in a book, or her fingers flying across a keyboard writing, she’s in the kitchen creating gourmet meals. You can find her, in four inch heels no less, in the car chauffeuring kids, or possibly with her husband scheduling his business trips. It’s a good thing her characters do what she says, because even her Labrador doesn’t listen to her…

4 stars

This book started out kind of slow for me, hence the 4 star rating. But it ended with a bang (a little predictable, but still a bang), and I loved it!

Tyler Beckett is Hollywood’s A lister (think Chris Hemsworth). He’s constantly being reported on in the rags, and one reporter he has a hard time getting along with is Jessica Hawthorn. She is a celebrity reporter but she had plans to do different things with her career (think Andi Anderson from How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days).

Tyler’s new movie is coming out and he’s doing a worldwide press junket, where he, his team and 10 reporters will fly around the world and attend the premieres of his movies in different locations. Tyler hates Jessica, and Jessica hates Tyler, so neither one of them are happy about this situation.

Tyler is 35 and really craving a normal life, with someone to love.  Jessica is a little younger. Jessica soon learns that Tyler likes to be in the gym early, 6 am, doing his run. Like clockwork, she is at the gym at 6:15 am each morning to do her own run. They slowly begin to talk, and Jessica quickly learns that Tyler is not the arrogant asshole she thinks he is. He loves his parents, is very loyal to those who work for him, and is an all around nice guy.

Slowly, Tyler and Jessica become more than friends, and watching their relationship develop was fun. I can’t imagine being with someone who is in the spotlight all the time, but they both handled it very well.

There was some drama involving Tyler’s team, which was kind of predictable, but really added to the story.

Overall, this was a very good read. I would recommend this and I’m eagerly awaiting Hollywood Princess, which is about Jessica’s best friend Kellie.
