The beer’s not the only thing getting tapped.

I have a secret. It’ll get me fired if my boss ever finds out…which shouldn’t be a problem except for one thing: my coworker, Reid Morgan.

He’s cocky, aggravating, and that hot-as-sin mouth simultaneously makes me want to slap him and melt into the mattress.

Now that he’s discovered my secret, he’s doing everything in his power to take my job.

I have a problem: my pint-size spitfire of a coworker who’s primed to take my promotion.

She’s infuriating, sexy as hell, and I just can’t seem to keep my hands off her.

Now we’re both vying for the same position…and only one of us can come out on top.

4 out of 5 stars

First off, can we talk about the arms on this guy on the cover? OMG. It’s weird, but arms are the first thing I notice on a guy. When I saw this cover, my first thought was “sign me up”.

Reid Morgan is a bartender at On Tap, a bar in Miami, Florida. Reid knows a manager position is opening, and assumes he will get the position. Imagine his surprise when his boss introduces Callie Anderson as the manager in training.  Reid has been taking management classes online and has been saving up to open his own bar, so he’s shocked when Callie is given the job.

He is instantly attracted to Callie, despite his resentment at her taking the job he feels he deserves. He treats Callie terribly, and is rude to her. Callie is an instant hit with the customers, with her upbeat attitude.

Callie and Reid both give in to their attraction, despite the bar’s no-fraternization policy. Reid quickly lets Callie in on what he does on Thursday’s (and it’s crazy sweet). Callie lets Reid in how horrible her parents are. Things move along quickly – until things start going wrong and Reid acts like a doofus.

I loved Reid – he’s a good guy, but at a few times during this book, I wanted to punch him in his giant arms. He acted like a child. Callie had some lingering issues from her childhood, and she acted like a child at some points as well.

It’s also hard to respect someone (Callie) who lies on their resume. Callie claimed to be a beer expert but actually hated beer.  She redeemed herself in my eyes, but don’t lie on your resume – it’s not a good idea.

I really liked this book, and would recommend it.
