Breaking Hollywood by Samantha Towle

breaking hollywoodGoodreads Summary

It wasn’t supposed to be like this…

I wasn’t supposed to be boyfriendless, homeless and jobless at twenty-eight. And I most definitely wasn’t supposed to hit Hollywood’s resident bad boy Gabriel Evans with my car and break his foot.

Now I’m stuck in his apartment, taking care of him while he’s incapacitated. Living with the hottest guy in Hollywood, who I’ve had a crush on forever, doesn’t sound like a chore, right? Wrong.

Gabriel Evans is rude, crude, drinks way too much and, as soon as his foot is healed, I’m out of here.

So, why do I keep forgetting to check the classifieds? And keep getting flustered when I see him shirtless? Breaking Hollywood wasn’t part of the plan. But neither was falling in love with him.

4 out of 5 stars

Ava Simms is having a terrible week. She is losing her home due to her stubbornness to give up her pygmy goat, Gucci. She then finds out she’s losing her job due to budget cuts. As she’s leaving, she is sobbing and doesn’t realize she has run over something. Well, not something, but someone.

She has run over Gabriel Evans foot. Who is Gabriel Evans? One of the most popular actors in Hollywood. He doesn’t take too kindly to having his foot broken by a woman in an eco-Mercedes. He’s a total dick to Ava, but ends up needing her help in getting to the hospital.

Turns out Gabe is going to need help while he’s healing. Ava offers to stay with him, despite the fact that they barely tolerate each other. They fight and argue like crazy. But Ava is homeless and Gabe’s PA is on vacation, so she ends up moving in with him.

Turns out Gabe is harboring some hefty secrets, which I won’t spill, because they were actually very interesting and not at all what I expected. His secrets end up getting leaked and he blames Ava, of course.  That part of the story was a little ludicrous, but overall, this was a good story.

Ava stood up for herself and didn’t put up with Gabe’s shit. Gabe’s brother, Tate is great and I would love for him to get a book.  Gabe is a really good, but flawed, guy. He’s very loyal. I loved his character. I would highly recommend this book to anyone.

Happy reading.
