Book Review – Tapping the Billionaire by Max Monroe

tapping the billionaireBlind dates? Online dating profiles? Been there, done that.  Georgia Cummings has zero luck with dating, and the era of the internet is not her friend. No matter how fast she runs, how many corners she turns, she can’t find her way out of this weird, alternate universe where men think dick pics are a replacement for small talk and getting to know a girl. One more crotch selfie and she might write men off for good…

But why can’t she stop fantasizing about him?

Kline Brooks is the quintessential billionaire bad boy—dark, styled, short hair, muscles for days, and a panty-dropping smile. Except—he isn’t.  As his employee, he won’t touch her with a ten foot pole.  But she won’t touch him either.

4 out of 5 stars

I’m not sure how I stumbled upon this book, but I’m so glad I did!  Tapping the Billionaire is the story of Kline Brooks, owner of Brooks Media, and Georgia Cummings, Director of Marketing for Brooks Media.  Georgia has worked for Kline for years, but Kline has never “looked” at her before.  Kline needs a date for a charity ball, and invites Georgia to attend with him.

From there, hilarity ensues.  Georgia suffers an allergic reaction, and the results had me laughing out loud.  I can’t even count the number of times that I laughed when reading this book.  Georgia and her best friend Cassie were hilarious.  Their nicknames for each other were so funny.

There was some predictability to the book, but it didn’t take away from the story.  Georgia was such a strong person, who was surprisingly normal given that her mother is a sex therapist.  Kline was sweet, and incredibly modest for a billionaire.

I would highly recommend this book and I’ve already downloaded the second book.

Happy reading.
