Three little words are all it takes to rip his world apart. Lost in his own affliction, Sy has been living in a darkness that he doesn’t ever want to let go of.
Until she arrives and shines her light so bright that nothing else mattered.
She was only in it for the chase, for the thrill of capturing the unattainable.
But what happens when her world shatters around her, spiraling her into the darkness beside him?
Can his affliction be her resurrection? Or will two lost souls living in the depths of deception let it destroy them?

I was so excited about this book, because I loved Incandescent so much. While I really liked this book, it was darker than the first.
What I really liked was the first part of this book ran concurrently with Incandescent. Holly, Kadence’s best friend is the heroine of this book. She has a tumultuous relationship with Sy, Nix’s best friend and fellow Knights Rebel. They sleep together twice. Then Kadence and Holly are kidnapped by Kadence’s crazy ex-fiancee. Then Kadence changes (for reasons that are a spoiler, so I won’t divulge)….
Sy is a dick. For part of the book, but while he’s a dick, you know why he’s a dick and can understand it. You like him in spite of his dick-ness. He’s gone through some seriously messed up shit that would harden anyone.
I thought I had the ending all figured out but NO. Thrown for a loop. I love that about a book. Really like this series and can’t wait for the next book to come out:)
